The yo-yo isn’t just a childhood toy—it’s one of the oldest recorded playthings in history! The earliest known yo-yos date back to 500 B.C. in ancient Greece, where they were made from wood, clay, or metal.

By the 18th century, yo-yos became popular in France and England, even among royalty. But it wasn’t until the 1920s that yo-yos took off in America, thanks to Pedro Flores, who introduced the modern, looped-string design.

From world championships to NASA experiments in space, the yo-yo has remained a timeless and entertaining challenge for generations!
